This is a picture of two abandoned cows rescued by Dean Sommer and his veterinarian spouse; their farm is a sanctuary for pairs of horses, goats, cows, and chickens. The red bovine is Blossom with her new sister Nellie. During this particular afternoon the bovines were contemplating their contribution to global warming and whether any retroactive provisions of the Clean Air Act might somehow place them into an envelope of liabiity. They have retained Young Sommer to assess any methane emissions that might result in them being contacted by the NYS DEC climate change bureau.
