Clean Air Act Compliance

The firm of Young, Sommer, LLC maintains a large practice in the field of clean air compliance.  The firm includes some of the most experienced clean air law attorneys in the eastern United States.  Elizabeth Morss is recognized as one of the most experienced practioners in the state regarding the application of air pollution control regulations.  Jeff Baker's experience includes the management of complex evidentiary hearings before the New York  State Department of Environmental Conservation regarding air quality modeling, impact analysis and siting. David Wooley (of counsel) has represented clients before the U. S. Our attorneys have assisted  a variety of large industrial clients with clean air compliance planning, training and permitting issues, including compliance with new source review requirements for facility modifications. We have assisted in the development and negotiation of Title V and state facility permits for facilities in various industries, including surface coating, pulp and paper, and metal parts and products, among others. We also monitor developments in federal and New York State environmental regulations  and assist clients in developing strategies to respond to regulatory changes and, if necessary, in preparing comments on proposed new or revised regulations.
