Our environmental practice group is one of the largest and most experienced in the Northeast. Our practice includes all aspects of environmental law (i.e., bulk storage, pesticides, air, water, hazardous waste, solid waste, power generation, TSCA, SEQRA, siting, wind energy, land use, superfund, drinking water supplies, watershed management, sewer districts, etc.).  We represent some of the most complex regulated facilities in the State of New York.

Many of our attorneys have been practicing environmental law since the early 1980s.  We know the history and the evolution of New York's regulatory programs, we know the regulators, and we know the process. Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, many smaller companies, municipalities, land developers and individuals.  Our attorneys have published books and articles on a variety of environmental law topics.   The firm monitors regulatory developments on both the state and federal level and keeps its clients advised on regulatory developments that impact their business.  In addressing environmental matters, we are goal oriented: we identify the objective that is to be achieved, we develop an approach to achieve that objective and we implement that approach.
