Litigation

The litigation group includes experienced attorneys, accomplished in all phases of litigation, trial and appellate practice in New York State and Federal Courts.  The litigation group represents individuals, institutions, municipalities, small business, and corporations in a broad range of substantive areas (for example, environmental litigation, toxic tort, insurance coverage, contracts, public nuisance, CERCLA, constitutional, Article 78 proceedings, personal injury, education and labor law). Litigation is a tool to solving a problem and achieving a certain objective.  At the outset, we evaluate non-litigation alternatives and tools for achieving your objective.  Where litigation is required, or is selected by the opposing side, we develop a plan to achieve your objectives and avoid extraneous efforts.  Our familiarity with, and proximity to, the Federal Court, Northern District and New York Court of Appeals, the Appellate Division, and multiple Supreme Court counties, assures easy access to these venues.
