Crystal A. Doolity

Crystal A. Doolity has joined Young/Sommer LLC acting of counsel. Her practice concentrates in the areas of Trust/Estate Planning and Administration, Elder Law and Real Estate. She received a J.D. from Albany Law School with a concentration in Family and Elder Law, upon completion of a joint B.A./J.D. degree with the University at Albany. Ms. Doolity is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.

While at Albany Law, Ms. Doolity was one of two Edgar and Margaret Sandman Fellows at the Government Law Center in 2003 and co-authored “Adult Protective Services: Responding to Financial Exploitation of Vulnerable Adults”. She interned with the New York State Office for the Aging, New York State Office of Children and Family Services – Bureau of Adult Services and Schenectady County Family Court with Hon. Mark L. Powers. Ms. Doolity also competed in Moot Court programs, served on the Moot Court Executive Board and participated in American Inns of Court. She continues to be an active alumna as a mentor to students and a Director of the National Alumni Association Board.

Ms. Doolity is a member of the New York State, the Albany County and the Schenectady County Bar Associations. She has served as the Liaison to the Elder Law Section and a Fourth District Representative for the State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, as well as co-chair of the Albany County Bar Association Young Lawyers Committee.

A frequent public speaker, Ms. Doolity has given presentations on Estate Planning and Advance Directives in Albany, Otsego, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Ulster and Westchester counties.
