Roger Florio has been practicing environmental law for more than 30 years and concentrates on environmental matters arising in connection with the release of hazardous substances, hazardous waste, petroleum and solid waste into the environment.   Mr. Florio served in an in-house Environmental Counsel role for 18 years at General Electric Company, first in GE’s Aviation business and subsequently in GE’s Corporate Environmental Practice Group, with particular emphasis on Superfund and remedial issues, environmental management systems, and regulatory compliance and enforcement issues arising under the Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, and similar State statutes.  Before GE, Mr. Florio spent 14 years practicing environmental law with Union Carbide Corporation and with a large multi-State law firm.

Roger received his Juris Doctor degree from the Catholic University of America in 1985 where he was an Articles Editor of the Catholic University Law Review. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware and prior to attending law school worked for several years for the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and an environmental consulting firm.
