Young/Sommer LLC Highly Ranked in Chambers USA

Two partners in the New York State law firm Young/Sommer LLC have been recognized as leading lawyers for businesses in America by Chambers USA.
Young, Sommer, Ward, Ritzenberg, Baker & Moore LLC is listed as one of the top seven Environmental firms in New York in the Chambers USA directory of the legal profession. It is the eighth consecutive year that Young/Sommer has placed among the top ten New York State Environmental firms in the legal guide. The Chambers USA listing states “[c]lients admire the team’s versatility and incredible responsiveness in matters involving hazardous waste, facility siting, land use and bulk storage.”
Attorneys Dean Sommer and Kevin Young were recognized in the Chambers USA listing, which states that Dean Sommer, whose practice areas center on litigation, including hazardous wastes and hazardous substances, toxic tort and petroleum disputes, commands great respect for his “readily apparent qualifications and expertise.” Mr. Sommer is listed among the top four New York State Environmental Law “Leading Individuals”. Kevin Young, whose practice areas include all aspects of environmental and land use matters, including wetlands, asbestos, air and water regulations and regulatory reform, is described as “a strong regulatory lawyer” who draws on nearly 30 years of experience in the field. Mr. Sommer and Mr. Young are frequent litigators on Superfund matters and are involved in the redevelopment of brownfield sites.
