James Muscato to Speak at IPPNY Energy Conference

James Muscato, partner at Young/Sommer LLC and head of the firm’s Energy Practice, in cooperation with Doreen Harris, NYSERDA, Mike Speerschneider, American Wind Energy Association, Sam Laniado, Read & Laniado, Amanda Lefton, the Nature Conservancy, and David Gahl, Solar Energy Industries Association will be presenting at the 2018 Independent Power Producers of New York fall energy conference on November 13, 2018. The conference, entitled “Article 10 and SEQRA Under the Clean Energy Standard” features a number of notable New York state government and local officials on topics relating to energy project development in New York.
The presentation entitled, “Lessons Learned and Views from State Priority Areas”, will discuss the key siting obstacles and opportunities as well as strategies for improving the regulatory climate under Article 10 in New York. Jim’s talk will focus on issues at each phase of the Article 10 process given his experience with wind and solar projects in the Article 10 process to date.
