Upstate New York’s First Utility-Scale Solar Projects

The firm successfully assisted client Goldman Sachs Renewable Power Group (“GSRP”) in its partnership with CS Energy to acquire several New York solar projects to develop and construct utility-scale solar projects totaling 216 megawatts in Upstate New York. GSRP and CS Energy worked closely with communities in the Capital Region, Mohawk Valley and Southern Tier to develop these projects, which will generate over $80 million in benefits to those communities. The projects are expected to achieve commercial operations by the end of 2021, making them the first operational utility-scale solar projects in upstate New York.
